YOUR ALLIES

Sitting pretty won’t do.

Bianca is ready to fight.

An ICU nurse who has worked with critically ill Covid patients since the start of the pandemic, Bianca started shooting and styling creatively as a self-care outlet.

An introduction to social media networks of models and photographers meant a quick introduction to the reality of predatory behavior and victims with nowhere to turn. For over a year, Bianca has researched common issues experienced by models and how to prevent them using the power of solidarity, transparency, and accountability by all members of the fashion and creative communities.

MAAC is a natural extension of Bianca’s desire for change. She and her co-founders seek to educate and empower to reduce the occurrences of sexual harassment and assault in our industry.

Activism and awareness

as an artform.

Audrey has been involved in the arts since she could dance on two feet and admire an Edgar Degas painting. With an extensive background in ballet, she grew up on historic stages throughout Kansas City, in front of cameras, and in many dressing rooms. She translated her love of expression through movement and attention-grabbing costume into fashion, starting her own entrepreneurial handmade clothing brand at 16 years old.

Her passion for creating garments pushed her to pursue a degree in Fashion Design and Product Development and she never looked back. Studying at London College of Fashion and Stephens College, with an extensive background in retail, and as an experienced technical designer she has a global and local understanding of the fashion industry.

Audrey started her brand Devil Doll in 2018 and has participated in many local fashion shows and publications, including Kansas City Fashion Week, West 18th Street Fashion Show, and The Pitch. With activism always at the forefront of her brand, she noticed a need for representation of models within her community. Her close involvement on and off stage with models, photographers, and all creatives alike pushed her to action in working to create a safe space for all creatives to thrive equally.

You Never Know Who Needs

Your Light,

Your Warmth,

And Your Raging Courage.

Growing up in and around the entertainment industry, Kat has been fortunate in many of her experiences. With a decade of that in the fashion industry, the community she's been

privy to is truly one-of-a-kind.

While the larger part of those experiences, relationships, and exchanges have been uplifting and fruitful, her over twenty years of exposure and observation has revealed a reoccurring anxiety: Safety.

So, what did she do? Side-by-side with two incredible women in the industry,

she founded MAAC.

With the goal of tackling the complexities and nuances of safety in the fashion and entertainment industry, head on:

Predatory behavior, sexual harassment, quid-pro-quo, sexual assault, setting boundaries... the list goes on. She aims to educate and advocate to armor anyone as they navigate the industry, lay pathways for victim support, and create a safe space to speak, hear, and be heard.

Accountability is calling.

We're answering.

Are you?
